Gunsmithing
Gunsmithing is the craft of repairing, maintaining, and customizing guns and rifles. Gunsmiths typically study at a technical institute or vocational school in order to obtain a certificate or associate's degree in gunsmithing. Coursework may include classes in ammunition basics, gun safety, metal finishing, and firearms evaluation. According to a salary survey by the career search engine Indeed.com, the average estimated salary for a gunsmith in 2009 is $43,000.
