Overview
Founded in 1857, Upper Iowa University offers Bachelor of Science degrees through distance learning. Students have the flexibility to complete their coursework at anytime, from anywhere. No on-campus residency is required. The enhanced email/paper-based independent study program is designed as a modern alternative to the time constraints of online programs. This program meets the needs of working professionals interested in enhancing existing career skills or entering into a new field. Upper Iowa University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.

Student Appeal

Independent Study. Through this convenient program, students can study at their own pace, submitting lessons and assignments by e-mail, fax, mail or at one of Upper Iowa University's independent off-campus centers.

Qualified students may receive financial aid in the form of federal grants and loans. Many companies offer tuition reimbursement as an employee benefit. Veterans’ benefits are also available.
