Overview
Founded in 1928, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been dedicated to training company employees and government organizations in several different aviation disciplines. The college has trained individuals from the US Army and Air Forces and the Royal Air Force of Great Britain, and has developed pilot courses for other countries and organizations, too. Spartan College also trains qualified individuals, offering a number of aviation-related courses as well as Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees.
Student Appeal
Spartan College is not only a place where students can learn about aviation, it is also a historical organization with roots extending back eighty years. The college was involved in training World War II pilots and has provided its services to airlines and other organizations around the world. Spartan College's appeal also lies in its industry-current campus located in Tulsa, with a fleet of around fifty aircraft, fixed-wing craft, and flight simulators. The college provides training that is focused and industry-specific, to give students the best education in their specialty field.
Financial
Spartan College's Financial Aid Department can assist qualified students in finding supplemental funding to help them meet the cost of training. Financial aid is provided for qualified students who need financial assistance to be able to attend the college. Financial aid may include federal loans and private loans or grants. Students are assigned aid based on their financial need and academic performance, as well as the availability of funds.
Spartan is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools.

Quality Control and Nondestructive Testing are both very important parts of aircraft development. The Quality Control program includes courses on manufacturing processes and statistical control, while Nondestructive Testing involves learning about testing techniques such as x-ray, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic testing.
