Overview
Sacred Heart University is a Catholic liberal arts school with campuses in Stamford and Fairfield, Connecticut. A wide variety of programs are available for undergraduate, graduate, online and part-time adult students. Students can pursue Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's degrees on the campus, and can take advantage of the completely wireless campus. Students may take courses online as well. Compassion and service to others are both core ideas which are worked into every curriculum as well as to the various student organizations on campus.

    Associate Degrees

    • Associate in Arts - AccountingAssociate in Arts - Accounting
      The effective use of financial information is vital for decision makers in business, industry, banking, government, education, law and many related fields. Individuals with a strong background in accounting and finance are in great demand for positions such as financial analysts, estate planners, investment counselors, market researchers, auditors, comptrollers and accounting managers. The Accounting program is designed to meet both the short- and long-term needs of students who enter the accounting profession. The program meets the needs of students who plan to start a career after graduation or who plan to continue their education on the graduate level. Emphasis Requirements (15 credits)
    • Associate in Arts - Business AdministrationAssociate in Arts - Business Administration
      The Business Administration Associates is a broad-based degree program which helps students to understand how businesses work in relation to the global environment. organizations operate in the contemporary global environment.
    • Associate in Arts - ChemistryAssociate in Arts - Chemistry
      The Chemistry Associate's program prepares students for the Bachelor's, as well as entry-level work. Students receive a general, broad-based curriculum that includes lab time and an introduction to organic and physical chemistry.
    • Associate in Arts - Criminal JusticeAssociate in Arts - Criminal Justice
      The Associate's in Criminal Justice includes a broad-based curriculum which provides students with a strong foundation to enter the Bachelor's program with. Topics include an introduction to the criminal justice system and theories of criminal justice.
    • Associate in Arts - Media StudiesAssociate in Arts - Media Studies
      The Associate's in Media Studies prepares students for more advanced work in the Bachelor’s program. Students take broad classes in video, film, print journalism, television, radio, and photography.
    • Associate in Arts - PsychologyAssociate in Arts - Psychology
      The Associate's in Psychology is a broad program which prepares students for more advanced studies in the Bachelor's program. Students have to complete the core program of language, literature and media studies as well as 15 credits in psychology.
    • Associate in Arts - Religious StudiesAssociate in Arts - Religious Studies
      This program prepares students for their studies in the more advanced Bachelor's program. Students have to an intro class as well as four electives in Religious Studies.
    • Associate in Arts - SpanishAssociate in Arts - Spanish
      The Associate's program in Spanish is comprised of 18-20 credits, and is made up of a combination of intermediate, advanced and conversation classes. Students may pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
    • Associate in Science - Computer ScienceAssociate in Science - Computer Science
      The Associate's program in Computer Science prepares students for more advanced work in the Bachelor's program. Students take a wide variety of courses on topics including web design and computer ethics.
