The primary advantage of the program I carried out is that it could be completed in just under a year- as a mature student with a family and mortgage, the amount of time it took to finish this program was crucial. I have always been fascinated by the legal world, and thought this would be a great way to incorporate that interest into a new career- a goal that was fully supported by PCI admissions personnel when they first filled out career suitability forms with me, and later on by instructors.

I found that the instructional component of the course was excellent, covering all essential areas of law that paralegals would be exposed to in a way that made it relevant to everyone as we all had different areas of interest when it came to the area of law we wished to be involved in. The only part of the coursework I did not enjoy in the PCI Paralegal program were the basic keyboarding/MS Word courses- I was already more than adept at touch typing and word processing and would have appreciated being able to take some kind of qualification test to prove I had the knowledge and then learn something else during that time. In the end, the program has already proven itself a success to me, as I found a job within weeks of beginning to look for one- and this was two months before I had even finished the course…
