Mountain State University

Mountain State University, founded in 1933, is a not-for-profit, independent institution serving more than 6,000 students from 43 states and a host of other countries. Mountain State University offers Online Associates and Bachelors degree programs in collaboration with a variety of industry and education partners. Mountain State University is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North-Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

There are three 16-week terms during the year and each term is comprised of two eight week sessions. Most students complete a sequence of two classes every eight weeks. This approach qualifies you as a full-time student for financial aid purposes while still allowing you to focus your studies and manage your time. Online students should plan on committing 10 to 20 hours a week on their studies. Online students have the opportunity to begin their studies with MSU at the start of every eight week session.

Mountain State University's cost per credit is competitive when compared with both public and private colleges. As a full or part-time online student, you can qualify to apply for federal (FAFSA) and private financial aid. We work to make a college degree a possibility for everyone with more than 80% of all undergraduate students receiving some form of financial aid.
