HVAC-R
June 26, 2008
By Enrique - Albany, NY

I am a student at the Lincoln Technical Institute. I am in the HVAC-R program at the school. The course is challenging. The knowledge being learned is what's needed on the job. I've read many reviews on the internet which are negative. You need to realize that negative reviews come from negative people who are not open to learning. You only get what you put into school. This is true anywhere. The teachers are knowledgeable. The students are irresponsible. I feel 1000 percent smarter since being here. If you read the other reviews, you will notice typing and grammatical errors. That doesn't seem to be a very reliable source of information if you ask me. Go on the tour and find out for yourself.

Overall positive experience. Professors were accessible, particularly through email or occasional phone call. Little classmate interaction. Online journal articles through library very helpful.

Degree in Automotive Technology
May 14, 2008
By Brian - Philadelphia, PA

I went to the Philadelphia campus Received the degree in automotive technology. I found the online learning experience to be very efficient. The tutorials and examples were very pertinent. Having had some background in the automotive industry I did not find the course ware to be over my head. It was challenging but not overwhelming.

I did not interact with my classmates very much but did have quite a few good interaction with the professors-they were extremely knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions and comments that I posted. I would rate my overall experience 4 out of 5 stars-the only reason is that I always believe there is room for improvement. Part of that is what I learned from Dr Demings continuous improvement cycle-plan-do-check-act. It can apply to every facet of life.

My Lincoln Tech experience did prepare me for my career, it carries credentials which are favored by employers and made me a desirable asset by my employer. I would recommend to anyone thinking about online learning to give Lincoln a chance.
