History

History programs teach students research methods, critical thinking, and effective writing through the study of historical topics and events. The ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and write clearly be useful in almost any profession. A small sample of the careers history majors go pursue are public policy analysts, cultural resource managers, journalists, editors, educators, marketers, and with additional education, lawyers and librarians.
