Sometimes, degrees in Health Education and Health Promotion are also known as Wellness Studies. Regardless, these programs train graduates to encourage good health within their communities. Health educators take classes to learn about the importance of exercise, diet, vitamins, and many other topics. Their jobs usually involve creating public education programs on topics like tobacco, HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy and heart disease. Health education degrees are available from Associates to PhDs.
