Upon graduating from this program, students will be able to successfully assess, manage and transport patients to appropriate medical facilities in addition to ensuring that all EMC crew members and bystanders are safe. The program is designed to prepare students as Emergency Medical Technicians - Basic (EMT-B) and as Emergency Medical Technicians – Paramedics. Students will be trained with medical skills at the basic life support level and can seek entry-level positions as Medical Technicians upon graduation. - Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
Florida Career Institute's Medical Assistant program focuses on medical terminology, pharmacology, claims processing, record-keeping and computerized billing. All students will get hands-on administrative and clinical training through the school’s medical office externship program. Upon graduation, students may seek out entry-level positions as Certified Medical Assistants. - Medical Insurance Coding SpecialistMedical Insurance Coding Specialist
In this program, students will focus their studies in the areas of Medical Administration, Medical Insurance and Coding, Claims Processing and Computerized Billing & Collection. Students will be provided with hands-on experience through Florida Career Institute's medical office externship program. Upon graduation, students will be able to pursue entry-level jobs as Medical Insurance Coding Specialists. - Therapeutic MassageTherapeutic Massage
Upon graduation from program, students will have acquired the skills and knowledge necessary to become a massage therapist. Students will learn a variety of techniques of therapeutic massage and learn proper body mechanics which will assist them in their search for jobs as Massage Therapists. Coursework covers anatomy and physiology, and students will practice and master the techniques of: Swedish massage, sports/athletic massage, hydrotherapy, orthopedic massage, spa/body treatments, neuromuscular therapy and Eastern-related modalities. Students receive detailed preparation and practice in taking the NCBTMB exam which must be passed in order to obtain a Florida state license.
