Health Education

Health education is designed to instruct both students and the public on how to properly care for themselves. In secondary schools, much of health education focuses on protection from sexually transmitted diseases, controlling obesity, and resisting drugs and alcohol. Those working with the greater population may be teaching on nutrition, safe sex, protection from disease, proper vaccination, and health warnings when traveling. To be a successful health educator, you must love to work with people and be an excellent orator. Health educators in the United States make about $51,562 annually.
