Overview
ECPI College of Technology offers Continuing Education programs to provide specialized IT certification to those students seeking skill enhancement in Cisco, CIW, CompTIA, ETA Fiber Optics, Oracle, Sun, or Microsoft certifications. Degree and diploma programs in Business, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, and Healthcare are also available. ECPI has campuses throughout Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina to provide convenient access to educational classrooms and laboratories.

Student Appeal
In pursuit of certification, students learn through instructional lectures and labs as well as client-oriented support coursework. ECPI instructors are specialized professionals with current knowledge of technology, industry trends, and business requirements to help advise students and provide optimal career preparation. Day and evening class options provide flexible learning to accommodate a variety of schedules.

Financial
Scholarship and Financial Aid awards are available to qualified students and includes grants, loans, work-study, and TASL funding. Additional support is available for military veterans in the form of Veterans Benefits and Military Tuition Assistance.

Continuing Education

• Cisco CCNACisco CCNA
  Learn to design, build, and maintain small and medium networks through the operation of various network and routing protocols. Additional exposure to router and switch configurations enables students to effectively maneuver in a network administrative position.
• Cisco CCNPCisco CCNP
  Develop advanced network and information system skills to create and maintain scalable, mulit-layered switched, and remote access networks. Certification enables students to effectively troubleshoot network problems as a help desk professional or network administrator.
• Cisco VoIPCisco VoIP
  Specialize in VoIP maintenance and configuration with Cisco certification. Students develop a foundation in information systems and networking technology to effectively administer support for network VoIP issues.
• CIW Master Site DesignerCIW Master Site Designer
  Enhance existing competencies in web design with certified credentials while building business knowledge and Internet-specific design strategies for e-commerce. Demonstrate proficiency in web tools including Front Page, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Students must take three courses and pass three certification exams in order to become CIW Masters.
• CompTIA A+CompTIA A+
  Qualify for certification by learning operating system skills in function, structure, and file management, memory management, installation and configuration, troubleshooting, networks, and Windows 9.X and 2000 as well as hardware knowledge of installation, configuration, motherboards, processors, and memory, printers, portable systems, basic networking, and customer satisfaction. Students are required to pass two exams in OS and hardware before receiving A+ certification.
• CompTIA HTI+CompTIA HTI+
  Gain knowledge to install and troubleshoot automated home sub-systems like home security systems, audio/video, computer networks, electrical and structured wiring, HVAC systems, cable and satellite television, broadband, and telecommunications configurations.
• CompTIA Net+CompTIA Net+
  Learn foundational skills in computer networking through study in networking protocols and devices, TCP/IP architecture, Internet addressing, network security, and troubleshooting. Students passing certification exams work as network assistants or help desk technicians with specialization in CompTIA Net+.
• CompTIA Security+CompTIA Security+
  Develop knowledge of communication security, cryptography, operational security, and general security concepts in information technology and network systems. Students typically combine certification with experience training on the job as an IT professional.
• ETA Fiber Optics DesignETA Fiber Optics Design
  Complement classroom learning with hands-on training in fiber optic LAN design through a 40-hour program incorporating network protocols, network configurations, optical cabling, hardware selection, splicing methods, testing, and documentation. Case studies provide real-world example learning to prepare students based on industry standards.
• ETA Fiber Optics InstallerETA Fiber Optics Installer
  Learn fiber optic terminology, technology, theory, and components to construct and test connectors, splices, and cables using appropriate techniques and communicate troubleshooting issues effectively in this 24-hour program.
• ETA Fiber Optics TechnicianETA Fiber Optics Technician
  Completion of this 32-hour program provides students with knowledge to certify and troubleshoot fiber optic networks by performing case studies designed to reflect the most common issues.
• Home Technology IntegrationHome Technology Integration
  Designed for point-of-service representatives and commercial sales agents, the Home Technology Integration program provides entry-level knowledge of entertainment, lighting, telephone, home security, HVAC, and sprinkler/pool/spa systems and typically combines certification with on-the-job experience. Students must complete two exams in Residential Systems and Systems Infrastructure & Integration to pass certification.
• Microsoft - MCSAMicrosoft - MCSA
  Microsoft Certified Systems Administrators receive skill training to manage Windows 2000 based systems and effectively troubleshoot any related issues as the primary system support for a Windows platform.
• Microsoft - MCSEMicrosoft - MCSE
  Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers learn skills to lead in design, implementation, and administration of advanced Windows operating systems as well as recognized comprehensive knowledge of network infrastructures and network administration abilities.
• Oracle OCAOracle OCA
  Gain a foundational knowledge of Oracle technologies to perform networking and information systems development and administration as a junior IT team member in a professional environment such as a business, nonprofit organization, or government institution.
• Oracle OCPOracle OCP
  Develop advanced Oracle training to build on an existing OCA certification or to become a more developed IT contributor with advanced knowledge of Oracle technologies for database or network administration in a supervisory or senior-level capacity.

  Learn skills in Sun Microsystems and Solaris Environment system administration to perform essential operating environment tasks and successfully maintain and troubleshoot Sun networks as a System Administrator.

  Students who like to play with electronic devices and are interested in the inter workings of those devices would benefit from Associate Degree or Diploma education in Computer Electronics Engineering to design and maintain computer systems and electronics in manufacturing, computer, security, and aerospace fields.
• IT/Networking & Security ManagementIT/Networking & Security Management
  Tech-savvy students interested in preventing system corruption or harm from malicious programs would benefit from a three-year Bachelor Degree in IT/Networking & Security. This program teaches network hardware and software maintenance, security monitoring, and security planning. Graduates may also take CompTIA, Cisco, and Microsoft certification exams.
• IT/Web DesignIT/Web Design
  Students who love manipulating and designing graphics and internet pages would benefit from Associate Degree or Diploma training in Web Design. Graduates apply job-oriented learning to careers in programming, database administration, and design associated with web development.
