As a sports psychologist you will be involved in motivational techniques, counseling, assessing talent, and dealing with the psychological affects of injury and rehabilitation. Further, your career opportunities will not be limited to professional sports teams. You will be able to find work at colleges, schools, and private clinics. A master's degree or doctorate is usually required for a position in this field. Starting salary for professionals with this level of education can be between $40,000 and $70,000 per year.
