Ask a Question
Webmasters are the designers, developers and 'masters' of the web. They create, maintain, test, and update websites for clients by using various programming languages and computer software. Although many webmasters will work for large firms or small companies, some work from home on a freelance, contractual basis. Webmasters that have an advanced degree in computer science or information technology will have an edge in this competitive job market. Apart from experience with computers, webmasters will also need to be excellent problem solvers, possess great math and analytical skills, and have a keen eye for graphic design and art. Webmasters can look forward to a fast-growing future as well as an average salary from $49,000 to $83,000.
