Systems Engineering Degrees

Systems engineering is an engineering specialty that focuses on designing and managing complex projects, with an emphasis on logistics and automatic controls of machinery. While other engineering fields focus on individual aspects of a system—including electronics, mechanics, aerodynamics, and software—it is a system engineer's job to oversee the integration of all of these aspects into one cohesive, efficient system. Professionals in the field should have at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field, and can expect to earn an average salary of $74,140 per year.
