Computer Engineering Degrees
Computer engineering combines both electrical engineering and computer sciences into one profession. Also known as electronic engineers or computer systems engineers, these are the professionals who design microprocessors and computer hardware, and discover new ways to integrate these technological advancements into other areas of everyday life. Aspiring computer engineers should have excellent problem solving skills and a good theoretical understanding of engineering fundamentals, along with at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Graduate degrees may also be required for more advanced jobs in the industry. For those with education and real world experience, job prospects in computer engineering are expected be excellent through the year 2016.
