Laboratory Technician Degrees

Standing side by side every scientist, physicist, or chemist as they conduct tests is a qualified laboratory technician. Entering into the research field as a lab tech can be rewarding and challenging. Among the duties of a laboratory technician are preparing tests, collecting specimens, maintaining laboratory equipment, and analyzing data. A bachelor's degree with a strong scientific focus is generally needed to become a lab tech. Further, most states require lab techs to be registered or licensed after completing a degree program. The annual wage for a lab technician is around $37,000.

To work as a laboratory technician you generally need a bachelor's degree with a strong scientific background. So therefore you will need to have a high school diploma or Ged equivalent to attend colleges,campus-based or online, for this degree.
