College Alumni Associations

Depending on the size of the educational institution, alumni organizations may be present to support students after they graduate from a school or college. Alumni associates consist mainly of graduates, or former students, that organize together for social events, raise funds for their alma mater, and publish periodic newsletters and school-related announcements. Alumni groups usually support new graduates by creating good environments to network, build contacts, and to foster business & personal relationships with people of similar backgrounds. Using an alumni association is a good way to learn about ways to receive additional post-graduate education and training; most schools offer refresher programs and skill updates for free to alumni members.
