- Medical Billing and CodingMedical Billing and Coding
Medical Biller's (Medical Billers and Coders or Health Claims Specialists) are professionals that prepare, submit, and/or process insurance claims for doctor's offices, hospitals, extended care facilities, diagnostic centers, insurance companies, and other health related facilities.
The program prepares students for an entry level position by gaining exposure to terminology, insurance forms, diagnostic and procedural codes, and procedures involved in processing medical insurance claims.
Through exposure to medical law, students become familiar with their legal responsibilities as a Medical Biller.
