Overview
Founded in 1916, Miller-Motte Technical College provides career preparation and credentials in Business, Criminal Justice, Cosmetology, Healthcare, and Information Technology. Students may choose to study at any of the eight locations throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee to earn Diplomas, Certificates, Associate, and Bachelor Degrees to successfully enter a career or enhances existing competencies. Graduates typically earn higher income than non-specialized candidates.
Student Appeal
Students develop a sound academic core along with individual career emphasis. Interpersonal and professional communication is also encouraged in all areas of study, as a means of improving marketability and group-oriented success. Courses utilize practical industry skills, hands-on applications, and contemporary methodologies from professionally experienced instructors. Individual attention enables students to have a clearer understanding of career options and valuable skill sets. Career counseling and job placement opportunities are also available to all graduates. The Career Placement Director individually assesses the strengths, interests, and goals of each student to assist with career planning and job searches.
Financial
Qualified students may receive financial aid in the form of federal loans, grants and work study to defray the cost of higher education. Veteran's benefits are also available and can be accessed through the Financial Aid Office. Miller-Motte is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
