Overview
Located in Baltimore, MD and Essington, PA, All-State Career - Allied Health trains students for successful careers in the medical and health fields. Currently, the school offers programs in EMT/Paramedic, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, and Pharmacy Technician. Courses are practical and career-oriented so that students can focus on the information they need to succeed in their chosen career paths. The programs are designed for students who want to make careers out of helping people.

Students learn skills to provide emergency medical are and life support with an ambulance. Training includes medical communications, documentation, and transportation. Specific entry-level medical competencies include basic cardiac life support, recognizing severity of injuries and assess requirements for emergency care, dressing and bandaging wounds, venous cannulation (IV's), chest decompression, cricothyrotomy, and pediatric life support. - Expanded Function Dental AssistantExpanded Function Dental Assistant
This program prepares graduates for assisting dentists with preliminary examinations, four-handed and six-handed dentistry, sterilizing, patient comfort, and administrative duties. - HVACHVAC
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration students learn basics of control systems, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating systems, and heat pumps. Graduates are prepared to take the Environmental Protection Agency's Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification test. - Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
The Medical Assistant program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to competently assist doctors in their offices as well as in other health care settings. Students take courses to learn how to assists with exam room prep, how to take vital signs, give injections and more. - Medical Billing and CodingMedical Billing and Coding
Medical Billing and Coding specialists learn to collect patient information, submit insurance forms, and handle invoicing, indexing, and procedural coding. The program is designed for organized, methodical thinkers who work well in a structured environment. - Pharmacy TechnicianPharmacy Technician
Students in the Pharmacy Technician program learn about providing medication to patients as well as about performing a wide range of functions in a working pharmacy. Some of the many topics students take courses in include handling prescriptions, answering telephones, pharmacy and medical office administration, taking refill requests and more.
