You get out of it what you put into it!

I've read numerous complaints about TechSkills over the last several months and I have to say, as someone who has referred 2 friends and 1 family member to this training institution, I can't imagine why there are so many dissatisfied and disgruntled complainers.

First, this school is not like a 2 or 4 year degree college. They do not have instructor led curricula. They offer self paced, hands-on training. They have instructors who are there to provide you with one on one assistance if you need it. For adults, it's flexibility is unmatched by the schools' competitors.

What the school does require of you however, is that you put in at a minimum of 15 hours per week toward your studies. Otherwise, you run the risk of not finishing the courses you enrolled in, in the time allotted. If anyone thinks they can sail through these courses and be spoon fed answers, this isn't the school for you. But if you have the motivation to change your life by changing your career choice or enhancing your existing work experience with industry certifications, you might want to seriously consider this school.

The Dallas campus provided me a wonderful, friendly environment with a staff that seems to genuinely care about its students success. You will not find this in ordinary colleges...to them you are a mere number!

As with anything in life, it is what you make it and you have to put in the effort to make it all rewarding!

I am now working as a Sr. Systems Administrator for a Fortune 500 company in Dallas. I went from making 42K a year to 64K after receiving certifications from TechSkills. I credit myself for having done the work but TechSkills gave me the tools to do it!

This is not a normal school.

1. You teach yourself 2. A person emails you an answer sheet so you check your own work. 3. You take a test, when the test is complete, it prints the score after the test is complete. 4. Nobody at this school is a teacher. 5. You and the government is being scammed out of your money!!! 6. If you were smart; you would not walk, but run from this so called school as fast as you can. 7. This is the god's honest truth; so help me god! 8. I'm writing this to worn people about this school; if you have a chance to go to college (TAKE IT); GET THE EDUCATION YOU DESERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a chance to go to college and believed TechSkills instead! I screwed up BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This school doesn't teach you everything you need to know before taking the CompTIA exams. You get questions that you aren't familar with on the certification exams.

Pretty impressed

Nothing is perfect, but I feel the programs are solid... They really helped me determine which to enroll in, and provided the support (note: they did not do it for me--as some people seem to expect...) to help me--and my boyfriend, who encouraged me to get started-- reach our goals.

If you want to just enroll and pay and expect the work to get done for you--you'd better either play college football exceedingly well, or pick another program... If you want a quality product from humans that know what they are doing, this is a solid place.

Sure, check out your options, but for our money, we're very glad we chose Tech Skills... We both got the certifications we needed, and are extremely happy with our choice. I wouldn't have gone had it not been for my boyfriend's testing the waters, and I'm glad I got first hand positive information before I enrolled...
