This is the best choice if you are looking for anything in media arts. The teachers are pros and they work hard to help you learn. They are very connected with employers all over the US. Grads are working at some of the top media companies from coast to coast. I got a job before graduating.

University of Phoenix – Human Services

Some of these "teachers" do not have teaching degrees, they pull these people off the streets who have had experience in the field, but they can't teach worth a penny. I've had some experience with video editing programs, and I didn't really learn much. Also, the equipment is usually broken, anywhere from video cameras, to $1million soundboards, or computers. Sometimes students will have to "sit out" because of a broken computer.

Madison Media Institute is another classic example of a school to promote apple software. If you want a real education in video production/ special effects I suggest going to an Art Institute or Full Campus. If you are into graphic/web design, try Herzing college, they offer a 3year bachelors degree program for a way cheaper price.

If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely not go here. MMI in a nut shell is overpriced, lazy, and cheap(as far as the education quality). Do not waste your time here.

Occupational Associate of Arts Degree...

School recommended by Tina on June 27, 2008

Choosing a career in a video graphics was never hard for me, but finding the right school was. I decided on Madison Media Institute because they offered the chance to stay near my home and get the degree I wanted in a school that offered all that I needed to get my start. Learning from instructors with so much experience in the field was inspirational and motivating, a plus when trying to keep focused on a long term goal. MMI even helped me with housing opportunities near by, a plus for any student looking to get the complete experience from a school that is in such a beautiful area. I got to enjoy campus activities while I was working through the program, giving me some time to relax and enjoy the area with other students. In the end the time and work I put into my degree has been worth it, and I am so grateful for the experience I have had.

The best thing about this school is the interaction between the faculty and the students. The teachers are outstanding and the classes are challenging. The hours were not always convenient, but overall this was a great experience for me. I was prepared for my future career.

Madison Media Institute did not skimp on technology, they have the latest and the greatest equipment to work with. Upon graduation I felt good knowing I was up to date on all the newest software and programs. The class schedule gave me some difficulties, as I already have a full time job. However, overall my experience was a positive one and I am confidant I will go far in my new career.
