I came from a poor high school and learned long time ago that the building you learn in has nothing to do with what type of education you receive. I am almost done with my externship as a Medical Assistant and feel that I have learned alot since I first started. It's been hard working nights and going to school during the day. I can truly say that I dedicated myself as much as I can to my studies and my teachers have been great. I believe the office that I am externing at now would be a great place for me to end up after I graduate. Career Point has made it easier for me to go to school while still keeping my present job.
I think Career Point is GREAT!

I have been in school now for about 5 months. I love the hands on lab classes and I am loving taking some of my classes online. I think I am learning alot. The teachers are helpful and I love my dean! I don't know what these people are talking about!

In response to previous reviews, the school is not understaffed. The school is nationally accredited and you can't be accredited without certified instructors. The prices are comparable to other schools in the area. The school certainly doesn't have walls that are falling down. I had a very good experience at this school. I took the medical assistant course and loved the lab classes. I feel that I was very well prepared for my externship and job that I got after I graduated.

This is not a good education choice. The place is a wreck and they charge about triple what the same thing would cost at a community college.
I went here for almost a year and didn't get some of my books until about halfway through. The teachers are not certified. I found this out after I started, that they are not required to be since the school is not part of any public school group. It is definitely in the "for profit" arena. The walls are literally falling down. The "Deans" are basically secretaries that are there just to make sure you come to class.
If you are thinking about going her, be warned. Ask around, and you won't get any good responses. Career Point is overpriced, understaffed, and falling down.
