I realized I had made mistake in joining Brandford before I was there less than a month. When they wanted to get my money or to join they promised me a job or to help find me a job. They also guarnteed that they would help place me. Well once I was already registered it was a different story. They said that they had never promised that nor could they promise that but they did.
I went to the financial aide office and told them I wanted to withdraw and that I wanted them to contact the Loan Office to tell them that I had withdrawn to make sure I would not be responsible to repay for a loan I had never used, especially since I had been there less than a month more like 3 weeks. They said that everything was set I would not have to pay anything. I called the office myself to make sure. Well low and behold when I got my income tax refund the following year, they had garnished my refund because they said I owed the school and the loan office the total amount of the loan even though I had withdrawn so early.
If you are considering joining this institute please don't. Its a total rip off.
They suck you in with the ad's on the radio and TV. They call your house when they find out you lost your job. In the end you go to that school and find out its one of the worse school's you will ever attend. Word of mouth will be too late after you are already sucked into going and paying a high tuition. Don't do it!!!!...I'm so sorry I ever decided to go to that school for Health Claims/Coding.
Most of the teacher don't give a damn about your education and have the teaching skills of a 9th grader. There are always fights in that school because they don't screen their applicants beforehand. They have no respect for the students there at all. I have never been more discusted by a school in my life and can't wait to be done with it.
Research before you throw your career away on Springfield, MA People. Bad School. Just wished I had someone tell me first hand instead of listening to the ad's/calls.
My educational experience was exactly as I expected it to be. I am a focused student, and so no one should be surprised that I've been a 4.0 from beginning to end. I've perfect attendance from beginning to end. The first week of class I found my own externship site. I was the first to have my portfolio ready and turned in. I was the last to get an externship site, my site was given out. I ended up with a site completely unsuitable to my gender, and sociological background. I would not get a reference nor job out of this site, no matter what I do. It's an 180 hour waste of time. The last site available in my area, can you wonder why it's the last? Because everyone knows it's something that shouldn't be issued.
I've listened to instructors speak to each other, and am not surprised that they get written warnings if and when they fail students. So we're putting out a substandard product to hurt the community, and they are not going to pass the state exam! But that's ok, because they graduate (yahoo!) this looks good to the public, and more students will be attracted to Branford Hall.
Of course no one is thinking of the money in grants and loans that this will generate? The only good thing that I can say, is that I loved my instructors, they showed true concern with my education, and I believe that's because they knew that no matter what, I would gain my education. I am determined to succeed in spite of the unpleasant Branford Hall experience. I should have investigated my options before I signed on the dotted line. You should, too.
I would absolutley not reccomend this school to anybody. This school was more like an alternative high school than an adult continuing education program. The teachers had no clue how to teach, and the directors were in no way able to direct anyone especially themselves. Do not be fooled, they do not help you find a job after you graduate. They barely help you find a site to do your externship, and what they fail to tell you before you sign up at thhe school is if you, yourself do not find a site within an allowed amount of time you will be dropped from the program. Nobody knows whats going on there but everyone is always covering up the next persons mistakes so nobody ie EVER on the same page.
Save yourself a lot of time, money and aggravation and DO NOT attend this so called school.
This review is for the Springfield Medical Campus. The course work is very easy and the day instructors seem as if they have no idea what they are doing. There were no outside resources available to assit with our learning and the instructors most former graduates at least in the MA program are idiots concerned with their own personal lives rather than our success.
I can tell you more about their personal life then I can about psych or medical law and ethics. The program director is no director at all most days she is out smoking and laughing rather than actually hhelping students i am not working yet and the experience was/is not worth my money
