When you go to college in California you are always going to meet the snooty, self absorbed, rich type, so disregard what other people say. This school isn't any different on that subject. The classes are small but you'll meet many different types of people.
However If you are antisocial or shy than I would stay away. Other than that its all about getting plugged in.
TALK to people and Get involved as much as you can in all the school has to offer and you'll be fine. I was planning on going to SDSU but I decided that I didn't want to be a ghost in a class of 150 students. If you want to grow as a person, and be an individual, than Chapman is for you. Outside of the classroom you'll find oh so many things to do. Beaches, clubs, little shopping centers, disneyland, etc.
I would recommend bringing a car because of all the attractions and cities nearby, but it shouldn't be a problem if you make a friends with people that have them. Bottom line, this school can't be beat.

Chapman University encourages its students to not just learn the material but to excel at it. Classes consist of active participation with a free flow of ideas. I came to treat the faculty not as just teachers but as friends and mentors. My only complaint from Chapman was the food but being the son of a Chef, I am only used to gourmet meals. Chapman provided me with the skills and the confidence to land my dream career within months of graduation.
