I am one class away from graduating with my BA in Organizational Management. I've also been a student for 20 years at San Jose State, Texas State, and UT of Austin. I am more than extremely pleased with my experience. Most seem to have trouble with finances. This should not affect one's view of the quality of education. It is a different topic.
This college promised my husband a full scholarship as part of a program for older students to go back to earn their degrees. At the end of his first course, they sent a bill and said no scholarship had ever been offered. During the course, about half the class also had problems with their online coursework submissions disappearing from the forums, and the professor refused to consider this when grading and failed half the class. This school is just a money making scheme.
I have been attending Ashford since March of 2007, and have had a very good experience until recently. My academic advisor, J. is very very hard to get a hold of, and never ever has any good information for me. Plus, I am trying to take a second course and now they are telling me that I will have to pay for that class aside from my financial aid, so basically with cash. So I am mad and frustrated. I think this school, like like University Of Phoenix, just wants to rip people off to get as much money as they can.
